After breakfast, meet your English-speaking Tour Guide and begin your day by a visit to the magnificent St. Nicolas Church followed by a drive to the Grand Palace and Gardens of Peterhof, St Petersburg’s amazing imperial estate and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Located on the sea shore The Grand Palace and park complex of Peterhof with its unique array of fountains is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world. Peterhof is perhaps St. Petersburg's the most famous and luxurious Imperial estate.

The Grand Palace at Peterhof was designed to be the centerpiece of Peter the Great's "Russian Versailles". This Palace, one of the richest and most interesting summer palaces in Russia, is filled with fascinating and elaborate interiors. It sits on top of a high seashore ridge overlooking the vast Lower Park, also known as "the kingdom of fountains", adorned with fountains, statues and pavilions. The park's unique fountain system was designed in the 18th century and operated without pumps.
The Upper Garden is a typical French-style formal garden with five fountains including one depicting Neptune, the God of the Sea.

There are three major cascades and over 140 fountains in the park. The most impressive is the Grand Cascade, located directly below the Grand Palace and featuring an impressive golden statue of Samson grasping the mighty jaws of the lion. The park's other cascades feature black and white chess board designs, Chinese dragons and numerous other features are definitely worth seeing!

After lunch in the Garden Restaurant enjoy an exciting a 45-minute ride down the Neva River on a board of a high-speed hydrofoil back to the city (Hermitage Pier).

Take a walk through the main street of  St. Petersburg, the famous Nevsky Prospect, a great place for souvenirs shopping.

This Tour also takes you inside the lavishly decorated St. Isaac's Cathedral, one of the World’s largest and most opulent domed cathedral.

It took 40 years to construct, under French-born architect Auguste de Montferrand's direction, from 1818 to 1858.

The neoclassical exterior of St. Isaac's barely hints at the riotously rich interior, decorated with various sorts of marble, semiprecious stones and mosaics. The iconostasis is framed by ten malachite and two lapis lazuli columns. The Cathedral's doors are covered in reliefs, patterned after the celebrated doors of the Battistero di San Giovanni in Florence.

Today the Cathedral is a Museum, but since 1992 it has been holding religious services on special occasions.

Visitors willing to climb 300 steps will get a spectacular view of St. Petersburg.
